Ever heard of Tall Mini Wall Quilts?
I started this one in April 2013 when I was staying up with Mum on one of our weeks together. When Mum would sleep, I would sew like a little trooper. Not because I didn't want to be with Mum, oh no, no...it was because she looked so peaceful sleeping that it brought my attention to a time in the future. When sewing this wall quilt, I had no idea this would be the last time I'd be with her, and she with me.
I know this makes this little wall quilt even more of a treasure now that it is 1 1/2 years after her passing.
Yes, the wall quilt isn't finished, but I have it listed as one of the PIPS (Projects in Progress) I want to complete before a 2nd full year passes. Actually when I was making this one for myself, I decided to work on a 2nd one also...I still have them both here with me and when one gets completed so hopefully with the other.
